Akram Marwan is a distinguished Career Development and Business Innovation professional with over seventeen years of experience across the FMCG, international development, and HR technology sectors. His career includes key roles at Procter & Gamble and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), before he transitioned in 2017 from the corporate world to entrepreneurship — channeling his expertise into building ventures that bridge the gap between education and employment. He currently serves as the Co-Founder and CEO of iCareer, Egypt's leading career-tech and edtech company, dedicated to empowering youth and early-career professionals through collaborations with ministries, universities, development funds, and top employers. Akram is also the Founder of Recruitera, an AI-powered applicant tracking system designed to manage end-to-end recruitment operations, optimize hiring processes, and enable organizations to make data-driven talent decisions. He successfully spun off two ventures from iCareer prior to the current acquisition: Qualiphi, a career services management platform, and Vezloo, a provider of international outsourcing services for AI and data annotation. He holds an engineering degree and a Master's in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the American University in Cairo, combining technical acumen with a deep commitment to innovation, human capital development, and the future of work.
